Website: rachelmschappert.com Biography Rachel M. Schappert is an emerging multi-disciplinary Artist whom recently completed her BFA Honours at the University of Manitoba, School of Art. Schappert's Art practice extends into realms of oil painting, mural painting, performance, video, as well as mixed-media sculpture and installation. She has shown at the National Art Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, at AXENEO7 in Gatineau, Quebec, at The Artesian in Regina, Saskatchewan, and at the Julie Saul Gallery in Chelsea, New York. Schappert's work has also been shown locally in Winnipeg where she finds inspiration amid the grass roots creative community. Imagine extracting meaning from the small and still: Rachel M. Schappert combines manufactured materials fused with collected organic matter. Through the process, a mysterious gathering of small hybrid objects emerge.
